WS27: Poem for Friday: The King explored (Kings, Princess, Peasents Pt.2)

I used the online Brainstormer to randomly generate the following 3 words: reunion, ancient, crossbow. I prefer these over those offered on your website, as they offer a more vague image to build off of.

Too truly live in the life of a king

you will know a life without sing

To hold onto your virtue

Is to hand over your life

The enemies will pursue

and stab the heart with the greedy knife

You will wish to cave

but by then, the king is unmade

You will sail the seas

your rule; your ship

and when your boat comes to ease

you will see your old friend emerge from the fog in unwieldy ship, from bottom to tip

your bows shall cross

This is a wreck that's must

so give into your lust

or forever be lost

In the end you will be alone, forever the stone

who shall win Prince, or king...the question's rather  indeed: which side is better?
