Poetry Assignment #10: Trying to Change (Beget These Chains)

Today will be my Final day of being me

Laugh right now but tomorrow you'll see

That I may pursue my Destiny

To these chains, beget, over the seas

Until they grow wings and are finally free

Today will be my Final day of being me

A hill encountered, to climb is the key

So please hand me a reed

That I may pursue my Destiny

Depression too deep, and The slope too steep

I am no longer sure what I can say to be:

Today will be my Final day of being me

I guess their wings have frozen, and latched back onto thee

The summit in reach, I'm missing the tools, to damn far, to end so quickly

That I may pursue my Destiny

In the end will I change?

Inconceivable thoughts and processes, just held back to not let's say

Today is my Final day of being me

That I may pursue my Destiny
